We do not share your personal information with third parties except as described in this policy or with your consent. Ads on Mathorio are served by Mediavine, which collects the data described in section 12.

We take reasonable measures to help protect your personal information from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

5. Children's Privacy

Mathorio is intended for teenagers (13+), adult learners, parents and teachers, and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

6. Your Rights

Under GDPR and similar regulations, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your settings. We count visits with Google Analytics in every country, using Google Consent Mode. In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are only set after you choose "OK" in the small cookie bar; without that choice, Google receives cookieless visit signals (no identifier stored on your device) that it uses to estimate traffic. Elsewhere analytics cookies are on by default. You can change your choice at any time on our Cookie Policy page or through your browser settings. Our own analytics never use advertising cookies. Ads on Mathorio are served by Mediavine and its partners, which may use advertising cookies as described in section 12; where the law requires it, they ask for your consent first.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.

9. YouTube API Services

Mathorio uses YouTube API Services to publish our own educational lesson videos to our YouTube channel. By using features that rely on these services you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and our use of any information received from YouTube API Services is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

  • We only upload our own original educational content to our own YouTube channel; we do not access, collect, or store other users’ YouTube data.
  • We do not use YouTube API Services to collect personal data about you.
  • Stored YouTube authorization tokens are kept securely and are deleted when no longer needed; you can revoke our access at any time.
  • Some lessons show a video by another creator hosted on YouTube. It only loads when you press play, in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com); before that, only the preview image is fetched from YouTube's image server.

Our use of YouTube data follows the Google Privacy Policy. You can review or revoke Mathorio’s access to YouTube data through your Google security settings.

11. Deleting Your Account

There is no delete button in the app or on the website. To delete your Mathorio account and its data:

  1. Send an email to privacy@mathorio.com from the email address you use to sign in (email link or Google), with the subject "Delete my account".
  2. If needed, we reply to that address to confirm the request comes from you.
  3. We delete your account within 30 days and let you know by email when it is done.

What we delete: your account (email address, name and Google sign-in link), your learning progress, XP, streaks, badges, practice and quiz results, your email settings and leaderboard entry, and messages you sent us through the contact form.

What we keep: nothing linked to you. Anonymous, aggregated statistics (such as page visit counts) cannot be tied to you and stay. Guest progress saved only in your browser is removed by clearing this site's data in your browser.

12. Advertising (Mediavine)

Ads on Mathorio are managed by Mediavine. They keep Mathorio free. The following section is provided by Mediavine.

Mediavine Programmatic Advertising (Ver 1.1)


The Website works with Mediavine to manage third-party interest-based advertising appearing on the Website. Mediavine serves content and advertisements when you visit the Website, which may use first and third-party cookies. A cookie is a small text file which is sent to your computer or mobile device (referred to in this policy as a “device”) by the web server so that a website can remember some information about your browsing activity on the Website.
