A number line shows numbers in order from least to greatest. Decimals fit between whole numbers on the number line.
For example, between 00 and 11:
  • 0.50.5 is exactly halfway between 00 and 11
  • 0.250.25 is one quarter of the way from 00 to 11
  • 0.750.75 is three quarters of the way from 00 to 11
