Definition

Elapsed time is the amount of time that passes from the start of an event to the end of an event.
To find elapsed time, we calculate the difference between the end time and the start time:
Elapsed Time=End Time−Start Time\text{Elapsed Time} = \text{End Time} - \text{Start Time}
For example, if a movie starts at 2:00 PM and ends at 4:30 PM, the elapsed time is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
