Telling time means reading a clock to know what hour and minute it is.
There are two types of clocks:

Confusing the hour and minute hands

Saying the wrong hour when the hour hand is between numbers

Why it's wrong: When it's 7:45, the hour hand is close to 8, so students say 8:45.

Correct: The hour doesn't change until the minute hand reaches 12. If the hour hand hasn't passed the next number, use the smaller number.
